I graduated in general medicine from Semmelweis University of Medicine in 1985, and obtained my specialist qualification in radiology in 1990. During my career I gained substantial experience at Szent Imre Hospital and at the Department of Radiology of Semmelweis University, where I led the ultrasound laboratory and the interventional unit, and later also served as deputy director.
Professional milestones
Over the past decades I have acquired extensive experience in colour Doppler ultrasound of arteries and veins (cervical vessels, upper and lower limb arteries and veins, abdominal and pelvic vessels). Alongside general ultrasound diagnostics I regularly perform US- and CT-guided interventional procedures, including fine-needle and core biopsies.
Current post and teaching
I currently work as a clinical chief physician at the Radiology Department of the Semmelweis University Department of Surgery, Transplantation and Gastroenterology. I take an active part in university teaching in Hungarian and English, and I am co-author of several electronic university teaching materials in ultrasound and abdominal radiology.
Broad ultrasound diagnostics and US-guided procedures remain a fundamental part of my medical work to this day.
