Dr. Speer Gábor PhD.

I am Dr Gabor Speer PhD, a consultant endocrinologist. I obtained my PhD at the Doctoral School of Semmelweis University. I graduated in medicine from Semmelweis University in 1997. I also studied at Heidelberg's Ruprecht Karl University and in aesthetics at ELTE.

Professional background

For a long time I worked at the 1st Department of Internal Medicine of Semmelweis University as a ward lead and university assistant professor; later I headed a hospital endocrinology clinic, then continued in private practice. Since 2015 I have been a member of the editorial board and a section editor of Orvostovabbkepzo Szemle. Since 2010 I have been a public-body member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

International studies and a broad university background help me combine professional precision with clear language when talking with patients. My aim is that the links behind complaints and findings become understandable, and that the steps of investigation and treatment are transparent. I pay particular attention to personalised therapy, a logical structure of follow-up, and to the patient being an active participant in their own recovery.
