Surgery
Some surgical conditions can be safely assessed and treated in an outpatient setting. In other cases, the most important step is to determine whether surgery is necessary and, if so, what type of care is recommended.
At the SanBer Medical surgical clinic, our aim is to thoroughly assess our patients’ conditions, clearly explain the available treatment options and help them select the most appropriate next step in their care.
Our specialists provide surgical consultations, assessment of the need for surgery, follow-up examinations and minor outpatient surgical procedures.
What conditions can be assessed at our surgical clinic?
A surgical examination may be recommended for:
- skin and subcutaneous lesions,
- moles or other skin lesions requiring removal,
- ingrown toenails,
- inflamed or painful skin lesions,
- abscesses,
- conditions requiring a minor surgical procedure,
- determining whether surgical treatment is necessary,
- obtaining a second opinion or surgical consultation for a previously diagnosed surgical condition,
- post-operative surgical follow-up or wound assessment.
Minor surgical procedures
Our clinic also provides minor surgical procedures that can be safely performed in an outpatient setting.
These may include:
- removal of skin and subcutaneous lesions,
- surgical removal of certain moles and other skin lesions,
- surgical treatment of ingrown toenails,
- incision and treatment of abscesses,
- surgical treatment of minor wounds,
- other minor procedures that can be performed under local anaesthesia.
Every procedure is preceded by a specialist examination and an individual assessment. During the consultation, the surgeon determines whether the condition can be treated safely in an outpatient setting or whether further examinations or treatment at another healthcare facility are required.
Surgical consultation and assessment of the need for surgery
Not every surgical condition requires immediate surgery.
One of the primary purposes of a surgical consultation is to determine whether a surgical procedure is necessary or whether another treatment option may be appropriate.
If surgery is recommended, our specialist provides detailed information about the proposed procedure, its expected benefits, possible risks and the next steps.
If the required operation cannot be performed within the outpatient facilities of SanBer Medical, we help determine the appropriate direction for further care.
Important information
The SanBer Medical surgical clinic provides outpatient care and minor surgical procedures. Major operations requiring a hospital setting or general anaesthesia are not performed at our clinic.
In such cases, our role is to provide a thorough surgical examination, determine whether surgery is indicated and identify the most appropriate further care for the patient.
Patient-centred surgical care
We understand that a surgical examination or procedure may cause uncertainty or anxiety. Therefore, we consider it essential that every patient receives clear and understandable information about their condition and the available treatment options.
Our goal is to ensure that surgical care is not only professional but also predictable and reassuring, allowing the patient to understand exactly what is happening and why.
The surgeons at SanBer Medical perform examinations and outpatient procedures with extensive professional experience, careful attention and consideration of each patient’s individual condition.
